Laughter... The Best Medicine

Summary

A hilarious success. This certainly was the consensus among the audience at the November 18th Comedy Night and Silent Auction held at St. Elias Banquet Hall. Lisa commented that she hasn’t laughed so much in years. Her friends and family are grateful at the amazing show of support which helped make this event another resounding success. A total of $7,000 was raised to help fund Lisa’s medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic.

Supporters came out for a fun-filled and exciting evening of comedy, door prizes, a raffle, and fabulous silent auction items. The evening began with the Silent Auction in which over 60 items donated from various Ottawa businesses were displayed for bidding. Then the audience enjoyed two hours of non-stop laughter as Yuk Yuk’s On Tour comedians John Hastings, Erica Scott, Bryan Hatt, and the evening’s headliner Darryl Lenox entertained the audience with their comedy acts.  

The organizers would like to thank everyone who attended the event and helped bring us closer to our goal. A big thank you goes out to the table sponsors, silent auction sponsors, donators and volunteers for their support and generosity.
